Nightmare

Yep ... I don't usually write reviews like this ... but I could tell similar stories to that of the gentleman above several times over. Dealing with Aramex is a nightmare.

28 August 2010 around 11am I called Aramex to schedule for pick-up a package I have brought to my residence due to the fact that there is no evening pick-up as I have gathered from one of your staff thus assuming that it is a saturday morning there is a great possibility that I can have the package sent to Abu Dhabi at an earlier time rather than wait for it to be picked-up at my workplace the next day. Suffice it to say I had an arranged time before 2PM and I gave my exact home location that much to my dismay I realized that it was already 3PM so I called Aramex again to inquire why my package has not been collected yet. As per information from the operator I was speaking with she said that according to the courier assigned to collect my package, he had called my mobile from his own mobile which I failed to answer and that he had been to my flat and no one opened the door either, now how did that happen? when all this time I was waiting in my living room anticipating a call or a knock on the door would eventually happen since there is an urgency for the package to reach abu dhabi. If I had a call on my mobile and I failed to answer then I must have a MISSED CALL which unfortunately DID NOT REGISTER on my mobile much less a knock on the door or a ring from the doorbell. Having been wide awake during these hours that I have been waiting came as a surprise after the operator told me all these! Furthermore, the operator told me to hold on the line so she can check what really happened thereby left me hanging on the line for the entire 8 minutes and never even bothered to get back to me till I eventually closed my phone. Then I called up Aramex again to pursue my situation and the lady on the other line told me that the courier cancelled the collection since I failed to acknowledge his call. Angry as I was, I was at the top of my voice insisting that I WAS LEFT HANGING ON THE LINE FOR 8 MINUTES AND THE OPERATOR DID NOT GET BACK TO ME, THE COURIER CANCELLED THE COLLECTION SINCE ACCORDING TO HIM I FAILED TO AKNOWLEDGE HIS CALL!!! It is interesting to know that such quality of staff and service prevails in your company. My regrets. << Less
